2nd time I've lost money on switching plans.

I have two phone lines on my ATT Prepaid plan. It has been extremely aggravating and frustrating when changing plans on ATT Prepaid. I had $40 on my balance previously and the added $25 which brought the balance up to $65.  When I then go to change my monthly plan from the $40/month plan to the $30/month plan, I now have $5.00 left on my account balance.  I now get a message in my account management page that I need to pay an additional $30 to activate service on the second phone line on my account.  What happened to the previous $40 balance I had.  It seems to have disappeared. I request a refund or have service restored on my additional phone line. Thank you.

You have to be very careful with your timing. If you change plans after your balance is already been taken to pay for a plan, you lose that plan and the money you paid for it, and then you have to pay  for the new plan you selected in order to resume service.

Prepaid doesn’t refund

Thank you for the input. The worst pre-paid plan I've ever experienced.  Time to look for a more reasonable one.

Well I've used both AT&T and Verizon and they both work pretty much the same way.  I didn't have a problem with either.  I made sure I knew when my refill was going out of my balance.   The best time to change plans is always before your auto-pay goes through which is about 36 hours before your payment is taken by the service provider to refill your plan

I did that, one day before, auto-pay was to be initiated.  I lost all my credit as soon as I switched one phone over to a $30/month plan.

I beg to differ, but pre-paid Verizon was much more clear and straight forward when switching plans.

AT&T Pre-paid is an awful and confusing service.

Just give AT&T a call (611)They may not refund, but they will credit.

I tried to get credit back, but no luck.  I'm done with this service after this month.  It's the worst online management portal I've ever dealt with.  Goodbye ATT Prepaid.  You guys got $50 free out of me, good going ATT.
