AutoPay Cancellations & Refund

My prepaid plan was supposed to renew tonight (6/27) but I cancelled the autopay last night as I’ll be abroad for next two months. However I still got charged for this coming month. I demand a prompt full refund.

How do I request a refund? I called 611 but refund request wasn’t an option and it doesn’t even direct me to real person. So frustrating

Thanks

It is normal for autopay to refill your account the day before renewal. You likely cancelled autopay a day too late. Since your plan has not renewed yet, change your plan to one of the pay per use plans before it does renew. Your refill is good for 90 days, it will still be there when you return. Just change back to your monthly plan and restart autopay when you return. In fact if don’t leave a positive account balance, you may lose your number. Your account will automatically close if your account balance is $0 for more than 60 days. If you are gone for two months, you might lose your number. As for a refund, generally ATT does not refund prepaid and I doubt they will in your case but the only way to get a refund is to call.
