Data is throttled even though I have high speed data remaining on plan

According to my account page, I have 8GB of high speed data remaining this month but my Google Pixel 4a is only getting a speed of 0.12Mbps.  My wife is on the same plan and got 13 Mbps using the same test at the same time.  Why does my account seem to be throttled.

We're here to assist you with your network connection rhythm.

If a lot of devices are using mobile data at once, it can put a strain in our network. This is called network congestion, and we may have to slow your data speed to keep everyone connected.

Reset your network settings to refresh your connection to the network. Resetting the network restores the default settings on the device. Be aware, Bluetooth pairing and Wi-Fi settings are deleted and will need to be re-added. You will not lose data like pictures, videos, or text.

  • iPhone: Settings>General>Reset>Reset network settings
  • Android: Settings>General Management>Reset>Reset network settings

You can visit our AT&T Wireless Support webpage and select Get Suggestions. You'll be directed to the Fix an Issue section. From there you will select your device then navigate back to that section and click Connection>Internet. Then follow the prompts and you'll come across very helpful personalized solutions.

Let us know if you need further assistiance.

AT&T doesn't throttle service unless you have run out of plan a data. They use deprioritization which means you're competing with everyone else who's using the same service.  Why your wife's phone is getting priority I can't determine
