Stranded to WIFI in Brazil

I am an AT&T Customer of 10 years. In the last year I switched to AT&T prepaid.

I am in Brazil for 3 months and need to unlock my iphone. I told AT&T prepaid to put my service on hold until I return, so i could get a Brazilian phone number while i was there. They promptly obliged. There in lies the problem.

Upon buying a Brazilian carrier prepaid card i discovered my phone was not unlocked by AT&T. Contacting AT&T over the phone with no service is not possible. And contacting AT&T online when your passwords and temporary password retrieval messages are now not working is also not exactly easy.

What do i do?

I am in need of an individual, with critical thinking skills and decent customer service, to reach out to me, online(because thats my only form of communication) and aid me in unlocking my phone!

Thank you!

You submit your request to unlock your phone online: https://www.att.com/deviceunlock/#/. No reason to call unless there is some issue. You will not be able to log into your prepaid account from Brazil. I hope you made arrangements to keep your prepaid account open, simply putting it "on hold" may not be enough. If your prepaid account balance is $0 for more than 60 days after your service expires, your account is automatically closed and your number lost. I hope you refilled your account with at least $25 before leaving. A $25 refill is good for 90 days, so no way your account will get closed.

Specifically, how long did you ACTIVELY use PREpaid?

Unfortunately my USAA bank statements online only go back to February,
which still shows i am using prepaid.

AT&T prepaid told me they would hold my inactive number until october.
Unfortunately no one told me i need to load more money, so i did not.

How does one communicate this with an AT&T customer service representative
online??

Thank you for aiding my understanding!

You don’t. Prepaid has no online support. Your only option is to call.
