Battery charging issue - Samsung SM-J327A

I have an ATT Samsung SM-J327A and following the last ATT security update the phone refuses to charge when it is plugged in.

It is still possible to charge the phone but you must first power it off,  then connect the charging cable, confirm it begins charging and then power the phone back on.

Or you can sometimes get it to charge by just restarting the phone.  But it will NOT charge while it is on by connecting the USB phone charging cable.

This is incredibly inconvenient    Has there been a fix worked up for this?

There are many other users with the lower end Samsung phones with the same issue.

Hello @buckaroo5,

We can definitely assist you with fixing or replacing your mobile device. First things first, we recommend using our Troubleshoot & Resolve Tool to fix power and battery issues. Simply select your device and the issue, then follow the steps to find a solution. If you're still experiencing the same issues after following those steps, you can checkout this article to Learn about the options you have if your phone is damaged or defective. Let us know if this helps.

I am not interested in REPLACING my phone. I didn't ask if you could REPLACE my phone.  I don't want to REPLACE my phone.    I want you to do something about the software update that CRIPPLED my ability to charge my device.   The lower end device owners aren't as important as the Iphone 10 owners eh?  I bet they would get better responses than,  "we can help you to REPLACE your phone..."
