First, you'll have to find out what carrier it's actually locked to.

AT&T wasn't the only carrier to sell locked KeyOne phones.

Type *#837837# into the phone dialer. Let us know what the PRD number is.

If it is the AT&T variant, then the unlock portal should work...

https://www.att.com/deviceunlock/

...and use the IMEI option. Got to find that on the device anyway regardless of who you are unlocking it from.

The site should work as long as you're in the US. Might have to use a VPN if you're outside the US.

And, by the way, it may be too much trouble getting the code.

Since you were sold a device that was obviously not as described, I'm thinking it may not be legitimate.

Might want to contact the seller and see if they will take it back and refund your money.

If they won't, then you may have been scammed, and I'll bet there's no way to get it unlocked. At least not without using an online unlocking service for a fee.

PRD-63116-700 has at&t logo on start up why i assumed it was at&t but the online unlock only says enter phone number

@Austinwilson0308 does your unlock web page look like this, i.e. with the YES circle in blue?

If so, and you click the No circle, does the prompt for the 10-digit mobile number change at all?  (Admittedly, "Do you have a mobile number from AT&T" is not the same as "Is the phone you are trying to unlock currently associated with an AT&T mobile number" which may lead to a lot of people not clicking "NO" here).

Either it was never used on AT&T, or more likely, it hasn’t been used for a long time, and the IMEI number was purged from the unlocking database.

Are you sure it's "-700" ?

Maybe it's "-007" ?

There is no -700. At least that I and the members on the CrackBerry forums are aware of.

The PRDs for the 63116 range tops out at "-056" .

-007 is Telus in Canada.

Some phones pick up on the carrier from the installed SIM. If you already installed the AT&T SIM in that phone, that could be why you're already seeing that splash screen at start-up.

@formerlyknownas and @GLIMMERMAN76 may know more about that.

Either way, if it was an AT&T model, the PRD would end with "-036".

I don't think you have an AT&T KeyOne.

If the IMEI isn’t in the unlocking database, your options are limited.  You would have to call AT&T and get them to manually research the IMEI, but if you aren’t a customer, they are very unlikely to help you.  If the seller is willing to take it back and refund your money, I’d do that.
