Carrier Unlocking Google Pixel 7 Pro

Hello Community,

I'm Using Google Pixel 7 Pro I've recently submitted an unlock request to AT&T and it got approved. and  got email stating below

Use these instructions and this code from your device's manufacturer to unlock your device.

Your unlock code: UNLOCK_NOT_SENT

Your unlock instructions:

1. Insert non-AT&T SIM card. The
notification "SIM card isn't supported" is expected.

2. Connect device with Wi-Fi.

3. See the notification "Carrier lock removed. The device can now be used on any network."

4. Go to Settings > Network & internet > Mobile network, and confirm the non-AT&T Mobile data enabled.

I ve followed above instructions but I'm not getting any notification stating "Carrier lock removed. The device can now be used on any network."

i even tried network reset, factory data reset, and UUID codes[*#*#7465625#*#*. from Google support page. still I'm not able to activate my new sim.

Accepted Solution

If it still won't unlock and you've done everything right most likely AT&T unlocks the wrong IMEI. Try submitting a request again. If you get a response that that IMEI has already been unlocked, there's definitely been a miscommunication between AT&T and Google.

Then it's time to file an FCC complaint. A routine FCC complaint is a free short form that you can Google for access. It's very simple and you simply state that you've submitted unlock requests and the phone still won't unlock. That complaint is forwarded back to AT&T upper management so somebody beyond the first line customer support will take a look at why the phone is not processing correctly

Usually someone will call you to let you know what has been done within two to three business days

@ManoharK9

See the solution in this thread...

https://forums.att.com/conversations/android/unlock-approved-but-it-says-unlock-not-sent/6517ac534ccaae0b11111ec1

Pixel phones are different and has a different process that does not involve codes.  AT&T just hasn't changed their unlock portal system to account for that.

I am having the same problem. How was it resolved? My phone is pixel 7 and unlock was approved. But when I insert new SIM, I get notification saying "SIM card isn't supported". I found this instruction,

but I am blocked at step 3. I don't get any notification saying "Carrier lock removed."

Have you accomplished step two?

Pixel phones unlock the similar to the way iPhone does, by connecting to servers operated by its manufacturer .

This is why you need that Wi-Fi connection.  Your phone should also be signed into a Google account and capable of functioning over a Wi-Fi network.   If you do not have Wi-Fi at home you need to find a Wi-Fi network in order to complete the unlock process.

@formerlyknownas I tried again in this morning and it still doesn't work.

Yes. My phone is connected to WiFi.

@formerlyknownas Thank you for the reply. I just re-requested to unlock the phone. This will be the third request. For the first two requests, I entered IMEI with fingers. At this time, I copied IMEI from the phone and sent it to a messenger that I can confirm from my laptop, and copy + pasted it in IMEI field from the laptop.

And I got the third approval just now! But I just tried again, switching SIM, and still see "SIM card isn't supported."

I just had a call with AT&T agent, but the person was not knowledgeable.

I just filed a FCC complaint and had assigned a ticket number. Let's see what it brings me.

Thank you.
