can i have 2 phones with the same eSIM information active but use one at a time so i can swap phone usage whenever i want to?

No.  You can only have one active SIM for each number.  Activating a second SIM with the same number will automatically disable the old SIM, which can’t be reactivated.

I think.....Yes, you can activate the same eSIM profile on two phones, but only one phone can be active at a time. This is called 'eSIM switching' or 'device switching'. You can switch between devices by going to your AT&T account, selecting the device you want to use, and activating the eSIM profile on that device. Keep in mind that you'll need to ensure both devices are compatible with AT&T's eSIM technology and that your account is set up for eSIM switching.

We do understand you would want to use the same eSIM in two different devices. However, eSIM can only be active on one device. If you add it to another device the 1st device eSIM will be deactivated.
