Forwarding calls internationally?

Hey all,

So I'm going to be traveling internationally soon and I have an international plan for my personal cell phone. The company I work for forwards calls from the office landline to my cell, and I'm wondering if this will still work while I'm away, as it's not forwarding to an international number but my own. Would my own international plan cover the office calls too, or would we get billed twice? Or would it just register that the phone it's getting forwarded to has an international plan? Hope this makes sense?

A call forwarded to a US number is just that.  There are no special charges to the caller or the receiver for placing a call to a phone number that is attached to a device outside the US.  For your phone to ring, your phone will need a connection to the AT&T network, either Wi-Fi or roaming on an carrier in another country with a roaming agreement with AT&T.  If you allow your phone to contact those carrier's towers, there will be a roaming charge.  That charge will be limited to $10 day with International Day Pass, as Kelly said.  However, IIRC, if your phone is in Airplane mode, with Wi-Fi enabled, and you have Wi-Fi calling enabled, it is possible for you to not pay anything for taking such a forwarded call.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that the call itself will not incur a charge.  But your use of your phone to take that call (or just to have your phone ring when the call is placed) may, and what that charge will be is dependent on your actions.  Your use of the phone for other reasons may also incur charges.

Attention: International Day Pass prices are changing. Starting May 14, you'll pay $12/day for one line and $6/day for each additional line used on the same day.

Hello @ricolas,

We hear you, and let's get the information you require with regard to International Day Pass.

In response to your question, you will not be charged extra if you have already added the International Day Pass to your line to which the calls are being forwarded.

Note: Please make sure to activate the International Day Pass.

Please refer to International Day Pass for additional details.

Let us know if the above information helps!

Cool, thanks, I think that answers my question. I'm fine with the international daily plan for myself and it's a US number, so it sounds like it should be fine, just wanted to make sure the company didn't get any surprise charges.
