Galaxy note 8 phone battery drain

Recently got a replacement for my more 8 because of dead pixels and now I have a note 8 that does not last me more than 4 hours. Even right now I just got done charging my phone to 100% about 20 minutes ago and it's at 84% and dropping. I dont know what to do because i spent so much money just to get this phone and it has given me problems on two different note 8s. It's also always in battery saver mode and this does not make any sense for this phone to die so quick. Also, for some reason my phone screen, even if I'm not touching the phone, will turn on and off randomly. Itll turn on for a few seconds and then turn back off. I feel like this could be another reason why it is draining, but even when I'm just texting and not on any apps itll drain quickly in power saver mode.

Hello @Andrewhuynh1995,

It is my understanding you are experiencing two issues with your device.  The first issue is the battery is not holding a  charge and the second issue is the device is turning off  at random.  I will be happy to offer my assistance.

I recommend you access our AT&T Troubleshoot and Resolve Tool.  To ensure you take full advantage of this tool's capability, we will ask you to log in with your user ID and password.

To address the battery not holding a charge issue, scroll down to Device/software issues > select Power and battery > Battery won’t hold a charge / drains quickly > Next and follow the on screen instructions.  For the turning off at random issues scroll down to Device/software > Power/battery > Device shuts off on its own > Next and follow the on screen instructions.

Thank you for accessing the Community Forums, and have a spectacular weekend.
