Has anyone else had AT&T flag their cell number as SPAM because of the amount of multimedia used?

I'm on an elite unlimited data plan and can no longer send group texts, voice messages or pictures between about 25 friends, family and parents that I provide daycare for. Supposedly the amount of multimedia I use caused the AT&T system to think it is SPAM. There is no overriding it and I must wait until the system decides that it is not SPAM. I pay for full unlimited service and haven't received full unlimited service since September 7...it is now September 23.

How exactly are you sending those multimedia messages? Unless you are using email to text and your email address has been marked as spam, I’ve never heard of MMS messages originating from a phone number being marked as spam. In fact, customers regularly complain about receiving spam texts and having no way to mark them as spam.

I am sending multimedia through regular messaging that is on the phone. No added APPs, no email to text or anything....just regular messaging that I have always used.   I have had no issues when I was a Sprint customer for 13 years. I left Sprint/Tmobile and joined AT&T in December 2021. The issue started on September 7, 2022.   And yes I continue to receive SPAM calls.  So my number was mistakenly flagged but nothing can stop me from receiving SPAM calls and texts.  I can still call and text...one would think being flagged as SPAM I would not be able to.

So what exactly is telling you that your sent messages are being flagged as spam by ATT? Like I said, I've never heard of that.

After many calls to Customer Support, Technical Support, Advanced Technical Support and a few visits to the local AT&T store. I was finally told this by what was referred to as 'the back office'.

This after system checks, phone resets, network checks, tower checks, new SIM card and even the purchase of a new phone(paying a $250 deductible) because it was thought to be a phone motherboard issue.   Apparently it was none of the above and the problem persists.

Apparently there is a lot more going on and it's time to make a move from AT&T. Now add to my  before mentioned issue... I just tried to log in and could not use the UserID I used to set up. Using my email address I had info sent me to reset...well the info sent did not match the user name that I used to set up my account.

You never answered my question. How do you know your messages are being flagged as spam? What is telling you that? Regular MMS messages get no confirmation of being delivered.

I did answer your question.  I responded  AT&T told me this  after many trips to the local store and many phone calls to customer service,  tech support and advanced tech support.... someone from the AT&T 'back office' told me the AT&T network mistakenly put my number on the SPAM Block list.

I did not see anything on my phone telling me that my messages were flagged as SPAM.  When I realized I was no longer able to receive MMS and realized my MMS were not being received by recipients I did what I was supposed to do and contacted AT&T.  After many phone checks and tests. Network resets,  tower checks, new SIM card, new phone after paying a $250 deductible.....AT&T back office informed me of the SPAM Block.  That they canNOT override.

I’m seeing your responses. I guess I just didn’t quite understand. So the only reason you believe your messages are being blocked is because of that back office person telling you. So I presume your reason for the many phone calls and trips to the store was people telling you they weren’t getting your messages. I’m still skeptical that what you were told is accurate. Even if your phone number was on the spam block list, that should only block messages coming in to ATT from outside of ATT’s network, not messages from an ATT number.
