HELP PLEASE, MY PHONE IS ACTING LIKE IT'S POSSESSED!

I have a GALAXY EXPRESS 3.

My phone keeps doing things without me even touching it.  It's like someone is pressing the lower middle button over, and over.  I try to write a text and when I try typing it my phone would keep opening the camera app, or it would go home over and over. I can't seem to type anything.  Even when I'm not using it the phone still does these crazy things.  And when my screen is black the only way to turn it back on to check my messages is to plug it in.  I tried pressing everything.  I want to wipe it clean from the Android menu but it won't come up no matter how many times I reset it, or how long I hold down the buttons.   I did a factory reset and it's still acting crazy.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.   Thank you.

Good morning @Ericababy,

I am sorry to hear your device is being difficult.

The first thing to try is to do a hard key reset which will wipe the device clean.  To accomplish this task, please power your device off.  With the device powered off hold down the Power/Lock button + Home Button + Volume up button until the Samsung logo appears.

Eventually the Android Recovery screen will appear.  Use the Volume down button to scroll and highlight ‘wipe data/factory reset’.  Scroll down to ‘yes-delete all user data’ and press the Power/Lock button to start the reset process.

Once this process is complete, make sure ‘reboot system now’ is highlighted and press Power/lock button to select it.

If this does not resolve the issue, we would have to look at device replacement options.  To do this, I would need to access your account.  Please check your forums inbox for a private message.  Respond to this private message with required information and I will be happy to review your options.

Thank you for your time and have a great weekend!

It sounded like a Galaxy S5 that I had. It is called "ghost touches". No matter how many times you wipe or factory reset, it remained the same. It was out of warranty but I sent it to Samsung for repair anyway. It came back without being fixed. I guess the cost of fixing was judged to be more than the cost of the phone.
