I do appreciate the reply, but I am not sure where "here" is. I'm guessing there's a missing link? If you can provide it, I would be grateful. I check my update options frequently in settings | general | about phone | software update but it says that I'm current. Still hopeful that 4.4 will be out soon!

I'll assume you mean "for the LG E980" - since KitKat is out for several devices already.
On the LG, it appears there still is not an update available from LG for AT&T to give to you...
