LG G3 5.0.1 update ruined battery life

I previously was getting up to 16-18 hours of battery life on average thru any given day previous to the Lollipop update. Since the updated I'm down to 10-12 if I'm lucky. There has to be a fix for this or please send me back to Kit Kat. Other than that this phone is flawless, however, not very many people seem to be having this issue and I've only read very small articles about this.

I don't believe I should have to turn my screen down, battery saver on, close specific apps etc. I am not using the device any different than I was previous to the update, yet now, I definitely have to charge mid day.

If you are receiving these same issues... PLEASE SPEAK ON IT so AT&T can work on a patch.

If you know what the issue is and have a solution that doesn't require me to essentially... not use my phone the way it was intended... please help.

Have you done a factory reset since the update? That usually fixes most issues.

I have done a factory more than once actually. Didn't work. Not sure what
to do at this point

do a factory reset and dont load any apps on the phone and see if it fixes it.  You could be using an app that is killing the battery.  What is the most used thing in your battery stats?  IF you are taking photos and have one drive or google photos set to do it over wifi those programs stay active and eat battery.  Happen with one drive on my s6 yesterday.

I've actually done this in regards to no install on 3rd party apps. The
culprit in the battery list is always "Android OS". I'm out of thoughts on
this...

your google play services is up to date right?  You can download the updates from here

just make sure you look at your version number on your phone before you download and install a new one.

Make sure you don't have AT&T Locker app running. It destroyed my battery life after Lollipop. It worked perfectly prior to Lollipop and I used it all the time but after Lollipop, it ran at full speed and ruined my battery life. No matter what I did to try to fix it, nothing worked. So sadly I had to disable the app and that solved my issues. Battery life is great now.

I don't use AT&T locker app. Unfortunately my situation has gotten worse
today. Factory reset my device again.... Now Bluetooth is going haywire
when connecting to my car. It is literally connecting\disconnecting over
and over... Battery Life is at 30%... No charger.... Frustrating to said
the least
