LG V10 overheating, battery drain and lagging

I am having some problems with my phone recently. It has started to heat up. It gets seriously hot and causes dattery drain. The battery doesnt even last 12 hours now. Even when I am not doing anything on my phone, it doesnt cool down. As a result, it's starting to lag now! HELP

Are you still under 1 year warranty?

Back up and factory reset can resolve the problem.  If it doesn't, you need to make a warranty claim.

I don't know if I am or not?

What if  my phone's warranty has been expired?

Your warranty with LG is one year from day of purchase.  You can check with ATT directly for purchase date.

If the year expired, ATT hands are tied by LG, but you can go to LG directly.   You will really have to make a fuss as LG has been inundated with faulty phone claims.  (I wouldn't take one unless it were free).

Next option is insurance if you have it.  They will send you another V10.

You can buy a replacement.  I have been using a Moto pure edition I bought new from Amazon for $200.  My son bought one from Best Buy for $250.  Solid phone at a fraction of the carrier price.

I will not buy carrier phones anymore.  Too expensive, and full of carrier specific bloat that messes up the phone.
