Message app keeps stopping.

A few times a day my message app for my text messages keeps stopping and I have to restart it

We don't want to you keep restarting your messaging app, Deeloo20.

 

There are a few reasons why an app might constantly crash, or in this case, freeze. However, we have a few troubleshooting tips to help the app run smoothly again. The troubleshooting steps are different depending on your phone's manufacturer, so please try the appropiate steps:

  • For an iPhone, try checking the App Store for updates as the app just may need a patch to fix this issue. If you haven't already, you can also uninstall and reinstall the app or offload it, which will delete the app but keep your data.
  • For Android devices, we recommend you check for updates in the Google Play Store as well. In addition to that, try clearing the cache as this may be happening due to a build up of temporary data. You can also force stop the app, which will completely shut down the app instead of just stopping it from running in the foreground.
