My Samsung Galaxy J7 displays "No subject" for SMS/MMS messages and I don't know how to reactivate

I believe that I changed a Setting/Feature so that Messages and Messenger while traveling in Mediterranean (Italy & Spain).  I was trying to avoid receiving messages while out of USA.  Messages displays "No subject" for a received SMS or MMS with no images.  Messenger displays "No messages in this conversation" How do I get the two applications to display the text and Text&multimedia?

Hi @weimarraw

I completely understand how important it is to be able to text normally on your phone. I am more than happy to assist with this.

The first thing I will suggest Is to delete all of your message threads and see if that helps. If you are still having issues after that you can check our troubleshooting and resolve tool and from there go ahead and select your make and model of device. Next you will want to select Messaging and follow the prompts to have your issue resolved.

I hope this helps, have a great day!
