New cellphone no signal at home, can not call or text .

I have an samsung galaxy 7 active, Android for ATT. It is a new phone, I switched my old device sim card to the new device, but now I can't call or text anyone on there. I have a data plan but the '4G' does not show, and no internet. The circle with the slash shows on the signal bar, sometimes 3 bars without 4G on there and still cannot call or text and use data. Only certain part of the city I get signal, but when I switch to my old device, signal,data,call/text works fine at home and everywhere. What's the problem ? Anyone here have the same issue? Please help

Hi there @20somthingyrs,

Not having signal on your new phone can be unexpected, especially after it was working on your previous phone! I will be more than happy to help get your new phone up and running!

The circle with a slash icon on your Galaxy S7 Active’s signal bar indicates the SIM card is not being read or missing from the phone. This can be the case if you are using the incorrect sized SIM card or if there is damage to the S7’s SIM card reader. Hopefully, this isn’t the case. The good news is you can pick a new SIM card up for free at any of our AT&T Corporate Locations.

Let me know if you have any additional questions or concerns!
