"No data service temporarily not offered..." error

My wife and I both have a Galaxy s8 and we both get this error message:  No Data Service, Temporarily not offered by your service provider at your location. It only happens in the vicinity of our house. It is intermittent, but once it starts, we get the error notification continuously. Sometimes every 5 to 10 seconds. I say "vicinity of our home" because I sometimes get it driving past our neighborhood or in the grocery a quarter mile away. Never anywhere else.

There doesn't seem to be a definitive answer on the Internet that I've been able to find.

I've restarted, removed and cleaned the SIM. Turned off every network-related option I can find. To add insult to injury, the notification goes away so fast, it's almost impossible to snooze it.

Gotcha.

There is an open ticket on our end.

Android is aware of this but it isn't widespread. When updates are pushed, they are done in segments. If there is an issue, it is stopped.

Our teams are on it. As this time, I do not have an ETR.

Same problem here. My wife has a galaxy S8 and we both keep getting the alert as well.

Nothing yet. I see others with the problem online, but no clear answers.

I have galaxy  S 7 active, doing the same thing and it won't go away. Every couple of seconds it goes off.

Hey everyone! It is a SIM card issue.  Went and got a new SIM card - solved the problem!
