NOTE 10 Plus from Verizon to AT&T

I have a friend who switched to an iphone and wants to sell me his NOTE 10 Plus. It is locked at Verizon and it is fully paid for. We spent a couple hours with Verizon trying to get my AT&T S6 sim to work in the NOTE 10. The Verizon tech we had on the phone tried everything and could see no reason for the NOTE 10 to be locked. The tech said he would open an APPEAL case in the Verizon kingdom.

My question(S) are,

Will the Verizon NOTE 10 work and work WELL on AT&T?

Is the NOTE 10+ any better at picking up weak signal than the S6 edge plus+ ? ie Does the NOTE 10 have a better antenna?

Is it possible to set the NOTE 10+ to ROAM in TEXAS for any carrier?

I'm only showing 2 small bars on my S6 sitting in my home

Verizon phones are sold locked, and only unlock 60 days after purchase.

Is it possible to set the NOTE 10+ to ROAM in TEXAS for any carrier?   No.  If you sign up with AT&T then you are using AT&T and it’s partner towers. Roaming is a function of a plan not a phone. If you were close enough to the border you might get high international charges from connecting to a Mexican carrier unless you have a roaming plan which covers Mexico.

I'm only showing 2 small bars on my S6 sitting in my home.  “Bars” are not an indication of signal strength.

We can definitely help you check to see if your Note 10+ is compatible with our network, @HiHOSilverGS.

Start out by visiting att.com/byod. You will need the IMEI number to get started. Once your device is confirmed, the site will assist you with ordering a new SIM, and help transfer your number.

Give it a try and let us know if we can answer other questions, or provide additional support. Thank you!
