Please give us the LG G5 H82020J OTA URL.

On behalf of the abroad AT&T and XDA community, we would like to know where we may download the H82020J OTA file for the AT&T LG G5 phone. Also, I don't think AT&T has taken into consideration that Nougat now has an enforced-state DM verity security function which may fail for no fault of the user, requiring an original TOT/KDZ file to restore our phones to an operable condition. Now, we know that the LG G5 Nougat OTA file is located on an AT&T server address such as or similar to https://xdm.wireless.att.com/... or https://xdmd.sl.attcompute.com/agents/... with certain portions of related LG G5 build numbers following. We implore you for this peace offering.

If you would be so kind as to offer us this information, we would be happy to continue supporting the AT&T brand.

If you do not have authority in these matters, we would appreciate a response from the lead authority on AT&T's LG OTA software department.

Thank you.

ATT is not going to help you....  They lock down the phones so this does not happen.  They can process a warranty claim and get you a new phone.  DM verify was created by qualcomm to secure the devices.  I just read the xda att g5 forum.  The only people on there wanting the TOT file are overseas users.

Remember you always flash your device at your own risk.

I understand your points, but we are beginning to feel like AT&T doesn't appreciate our business.

I believe it would be in AT&T's best interest to allow their clients to at least possess a soft copy of firmware for their devices when they have obligated their contract or payed for the device in full, similar to the SIM-lock provisions.

And if this was such a security or warranty claims concern, then may I ask, why do all the other big mobile network operators provide a copy of the TOT for the LG G5?

If AT&T can't give us a good reason to keep buying our devices from them, then our hands will be tied.

Some of those TOT files are leaked just a fyi.  You dont like the way ATT does business you can always buy unlocked but then your into the what is going on with the unlocked us g5 they are not updating it till later in the summer.  Samething happened with the s7 unlocked us version its not getting updates as quick as the carriers.  I have a ATT s7 active that I use for wifi calling if I am in a area I need it.  My daily driver is a pixel xl.

ATT look at there software for the att carrier brand phones as theres that is part of the reason.  I ran a leaked copy of nougat on my s7 active since december.

Well, thank you for your feedback.

Hopefully someone does us a favor and leaks the H820 TOT, or i'm afraid many of us will be switching from AT&T-branded devices next time around.

the problem you have is the phone was a flop.  There is software out and about for the att s7 series of phones.  The problem is the fact the phone sold so poorly.

No.   Not outside the USA.   Branded phones receive software verification over the air.  If not connected to ATT (if an ATT phone) that never happens.   The phone must be in the USA, with an ATT SIM card and service to update.
