Text Messaging on Nougat 7.0

Since ATT's so-called "Advanced Messaging" has screwed up my phone by not allowing me to backup, forward, transfer, or copy my sent text messages frem my old phone to my new one (both S7 Edges), I am now forced to make screenshots of each and every important message thread.  The problem is that with the new Nougat update, longer text messages get truncated, with a "View all" link under the message.  As such, taking screen shots is now useless because the entire message can no longer be read.

How can I disable this, so that I can see my entire message thread???

And turn off advanced messaging.  Until Samsung fixes it, it isn't worth using.

I have used Smart Switch (as well as AT&T Mobile Transfer) and my original issue remains (SENT messages NOT transferred/copied from old phone to new phone), and "advanced messaging" has been turned off.  Because of this issue, I am also unable to copy/archive/email those missing messages using any 3rd party apps (such as "Email My Texts), or, if I try using a 3rd party texting app (SMS Pro for example),the problem is replicated as if I am on my new phone (no sent messages).  This is why I was trying to capture screen shots, but with Nougat, longer messages are truncated, so I can't show them in their entirety within the thread.  As such, if I am using these messages to prove my case, it really won't prove much if no one can see what I said in my sent messages.

How can I turn off this message truncation???

Has to be a issue with samsungs messaging app then. I updated the wife's s7 active then copied all her messages from her pixel XL and vise versa.

AT&T's  "Advanced Messaging" has screwed up my phone too, so that I cannot back up and view my text messages.

Even though I have turned off this broken feature, I still cannot back up and view my text messages.

How can I back up and view my text messages?
