Texts not being delivered

8 out of 10 times It takes several attempts for my text to be delivered to only one of my contacts. All other contacts have no problem. We both have Samsung galaxy. their number isn't blocked because I made sure of it.  Like I said its maybe 2 out of ten times they do get delivered. What's weird is for example I'll send a text at 2:32 and after several attempts I'll send it again at 2:33 and it will be delivered. We have tested it with our phones side by side and still the same results. I've reset my phone. Any ideas

Why do you assume it's on your end?

Is it possible one of you does not have good reception?

Are you both using the standard Samsung messaging app?

If you're signed up for delivery notices, those notices only exist if the message is read.  Is the other person indicating that they are  not getting your messages?    Delayed?  Not at all?

Have either one of you recently been using a pixel or iPhone?

Here are some potential solutions:

1. Carrier and Network:

    • Contact AT&T Support: Share details of the issue, including your phone model, carrier settings, and the specific contact's details. They can check for network issues or account-specific problems.
    • Check Coverage: Ensure both phones have strong signal strength in your area. Weak signal can contribute to failed deliveries.

2. Messaging App:

    • Clear Cache and Data: For your messaging app (e.g., Samsung Messages), clear the cache and data. This can resolve software glitches.
    • Try Alternative App: Test sending messages using a different app (e.g., Google Messages) to rule out app-specific issues.

3. Specific Contact's Settings:

    • Verify Number: Double-check the contact's number for typos or missing digits. Ask them to confirm their number is accurate.
    • Check Blocking: On their phone, ensure you're not accidentally blocked. Consider having them temporarily disable any call/message blocking features.

4. Advanced Troubleshooting:

    • Reset Network Settings: Reset your phone's network settings to factory defaults. This can clear corrupted network configurations.
    • Update Software: Ensure both phones have the latest software updates, as they often include bug fixes and network improvements.
  • Advanced Network Settings: If comfortable, access advanced network settings and try manually selecting a different network connection type (e.g., 2G, 3G, 4G).

Why do you assume it's on your end? Not assuming, when we are together we have the same results.

Is it possible one of you does not have good reception?  It appears we have full bars

Are you both using the standard Samsung messaging app?  Yes

Have either one of you recently been using a pixel or iPhone?  No

Having same issue when message shows sent on my end but it's never delivered to recipient. Is this att issue? I've only switched 2 months ago and it's happened 4 times to 4 different people. I've never had this issue with xfinity mobile
