Unlock SIM...Is there a default PIN???

I have a Kyocera Hydro Air C-6745 Mothly Go-Phone Prepaid set to auto-pay which is great.

However, going through the manual and finding the "Set up SIM card lock" under the Security Tab, clicking thru to "Sim card lock settings" and selections "Lock SIM card", check box, UN-greys the "Change SIM PIN" option of which, apparently I have only 1 try left before I ruin the SIM because I tried a couple of times already. I am simply trying to create a SIM PIN so that I can activate the lock if the occaision ever arises. I am running Android v.5.1.1 ; Software version 1.010AT ; Hardware version 1010 ; and Build number LMY47V.

Can anyone help me? I was told there IS a Default SIM PIN to enter, and then a chance to change it to my own number.

Thank you ALL in advance for your help!

I don't know if the default PIN on GoPhone SIM cards is different, I don't expect it is but there are no guarantees. The default PIN on the regular SIM cards is 1111.

Sorry for not answering right away. Something came up....

Anyway, Yeah, thanks, thing is I only have 1 shot left or I lock the darn phone!

So IDK....

Should I be pre-emptive and call for a PUK?

Thanks for your response!

I upgraded to a new phone with a new AT&T SIM card and tried to use the 1111 default pin. But I got a message that 1111 was not the correct pin and that I had two more tries. After that, the SIM card would be locked and the phone would be unusable.
