Unlocked samsung s10e

I want to upgrade my at&t locked S7 to an unlocked S10e. So I remove the sim card in the s7 and put in the s10e and at&t will recognize my number and new phone? Then switch transfer the files in the s7 to the s10e? Will the at&t firmware that enables video calling be in the s10e then since then the s10e would be locked to at&t? Or is the unlocked phone forever unlocked?

Yes.  It's that simple.

If the s10e is a USA or North America version it's ATT compatible.

Use Samsung switch to move data.

Everything should work as with the s7.  Including Wi-Fi calling

Just adding... unlocked phones stay unlocked.  Once on the AT&T network, you may get whatever additional software AT&T requires the phone to have.  You may even get the AT&T boot-up screen, but the phone does not actually become locked.

I hope you're okay with a device that's reached the end of its life as far as software support is concerned.  It's stuck with Android 12, and even security patches have stopped as of Summer of last year.

I just hope you realize that.

@williemyers

Tips were already given.

Use Samsung switch to move your data, move your SIM card.
