Visual Voicemail keeps my 4G LTE icon active

Recently I noticed when on WiFi my Galaxy S5 was still showing an active 4G LTE icon. I believe I have narrowed the issue down to the most recent update to the visual voicemail app. Serching around I've noticed several users on Google Play responding with similar issues. Can anyone else comment on this, or have a possible solution?

This issue was fixed with the latest release (2.8.2.21) of the ATT VVM client to Google Play. The problem only impacted Samsung devices by turning on the 4G LTE indicator when version 2.7 of the VVM application was installed. Data was NEVER being redirected from WiFi to 4G but Samsung users couldn't see that easily, which casued confusion. Hence the quick fix.

I noticed the same thing and promptly switched to Google Voice, using it as my default voicemail.  When you set up GVoice, you can have it become the default voicemail, works wonderfully and you get the added bonus of it transcribing VM into an email.
