WiFi authentication errors after last software update

I have a Galaxy S6.  After this latest ATT software update, I get a WiFi Authentication Error several times when connecting to networks that I've been using forever (home and work).

I'm able to fix it each time by doing a reboot, or toggle the WiFi on and off, or toggle the airplane mode on and off, or forgetting the network and redoing the connection, but when I leave and come back later, the same problem returns and I can't automatically connect to the wifi networks

Not sure what this last software update was for, but it's not worth the issues I'm having with wifi.  Please undo it!

I have this same problem on an s6e, since the update, I find wifi is frequently disconnected with "authentication error". This is on multiple networks, including home and work. I can fix it by turning wifi off and back on but it is getting very annoying.

I am also having the same problem and have been inadvertently using lots of data. This needs to be fixed quickly.

There is no resolution in this topic but here is a thread of people with the same issue: https://forums.att.com/t5/Network-Coverage/Authentication-Error-for-Wifi-after-update/m-p/5318268#M70322
