Bad reception

I have had my iPhone 4s for nearly 2 years.  I have not had any problems during that time.  However, over the last two months, my reception is horrible.  I cannot move around without my calls breaking up.  It's to the point, where once I find a spot with good reception, I cannot even move my head from side to side or I will start breaking up.  I realize the phone is 2 years old, but other than that it works well for me.  I don't want to buy a new one and find out the problem wasn't with the phone.  I really didn't want to buy a new one unless I had to simply because the phone serves its purpose in every other area.  Anyone else have this problem occur out of the blue?

Is any one else in your area having problems? Can you borrow an AT&T phone from somebody that you can slip you SIM into and try?

It could be that the SIM is going bad. You could get a replacement SIM and see if that helps.

If no one else in your area is having problems and the SIM is not the problem, then it is probably your phone.

My wife and I have seen the same thing with our Windows phones. Whereas before we got 3 bars at home we are now lucky to get one.
