Data speed is incredibly slow

Ever since I switched from prepaid unlimited to postpaid unlimited plus, my data has been incredibly slow. Videos buffer, pages take long to load, sometimes even time out. My software is up to date, there are no carrier updates. I’ve went all the way through the troubleshoot page, twice. It happens even with a strong, full bar signal. It happens all throughout the month, so I know it’s not related to the 22 GB high speed data cap.

You’d think that the data would be slower for the prepaid plans (I think if you read the fine print about speeds, it actually is)

What gives? I’m tempted to end this installment and switch back to prepaid. Why bother paying extra money for worse service.

Good afternoon @MedfordNJ.

I am sorry about the slow data speeds you are having.  I recognize how this affects your experience with your device and apps.  Allow me to share some information and suggestions.

The slow data speed for a number of reasons.  They may environmental issues such as terrain and buildings.  Signal strength and high-usage periods can also affect data speeds.  If you are an area with these issues, you can stay connected using our Hot Spot nationwide network to augment service.  This is included at no additional cost to qualifying smartphone plans.
