Delayed group text/iMessages

I'm not sure why it's happening, but am experiencing serious delays in getting group messages specifically when there's a mix of iPhone and Android users in the group chain. It doesn't happen when there's an all iPhone group conversation, only when there are both SMS and iMessages involved. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure why the delay but when you send group messsages, I believe they are all sent as MMS messages, not SMS or iMessages. Since MMS messages require a working cellular data connection, perhaps that is the reason for the delay.

I, as well as many of my friends, have this same issue and it's getting really annoying and old, quite frankly. The problems seems to be when the group has a mix of iOS devices Andy android devices. The Android users always get all of the messages, however, the iOS users will get messages severely delayed. It doesn't seem as if there is any pattern to which iOS user gets left out. It seems as if it will be a different person each day. I'm in a few different groups like this and each one experiences the same issue. We've all done the standard things like resetting and turning things on and off. Somewhere there is a problem with how these texts are being delivered. It also appears to be just AT&T. None of my Verizon friends experience this problem, so by using reasonable deduction, it would seem to be an AT&T problem. Of course, I've spoken with many a representative of AT&T with no resolution. It may soon be time to switch.

Thanks for the "mix of iphone and android" info.  I've been experiencing this lately too (started after noughat update) and you just made me realize it is with people who have an iphone.  Sometimes the delay is next day.   Very annoying as I rely on texting to be reasonable timely.

...opposite in my case.  iphone users get their messages timely, but my android phone gets them delayed.

Mine are all sent as SMS no multimedia involved.
