iPhone 7 dropped calls / failed call

My iPhone 7 Plus keeps dropping calls. At first I noticed it when I passed a certain point in my house, literally a line in my house. I am fine on either side of the invisible line but walk through it and it is a vortex. But it's not just that one spot that I drop calls any more it is everywhere, in motion or not, outside, inside, you name it. Originally the dropped calls came with "call failed" messages or a message about my SIM card so I bought a new SIM card. This didn't help. Now, about a year into the issue the dropping is getting worse as the calls keep dropping now at a rate of every 10 minutes or so. I had been using the Mark the Spot program hoping that could lead somewhere but there has been no change so I stopped wasting my time. I have tried all the "fixes" I can find on line and none of them work. Any more direction would be greatly appreciated. I am glad to see it's not just me but it's frustrating that there is enough of an issue that people need to seek a forum.

There are lot of different potential reasons why your iPhone is dropping calls. It could be an iPhone software issue, it could be a network issue.

It definitely seems like you've ruled out a minor software problem, so try checking for a carrier settings update. Go to Settings -> General -> About and check for a carrier settings update. After that, check for an iOS update.

Since it sounds like you've checked your SIM card, try resetting network settings. If that doesn't work, AT&T will have to step in and fix the problem.

For now, you may be able to use Wi-Fi calling for a more reliable connection.

Thanks for the reply. I have previously done iOS updates. I went to the
carrier settings and it did not show any updates needed. I just did another
network reset so we can see how that goes. Previously when searching for a
fix I was told to not use wi-fi calling because it was not as reliable? I
will check back after I've had a chance to test out the newest network
reset.
