iPhone trade in
Last year I traded in my iPhone X to get iPhone XsMax. ATT sent me a label to ship the phone back. I dropped my package at usps and status is struck at “usps is in possession of the item” forever. ATT charged me for the device and I fought for almost 4-5 months to get the charge removed on my account.
This year I am trading in iPhone xsmax to get iPhone 11 pro max. I am scared that the issue will happen again because I have read so many comments about people complaining about the same issue I faced with trade in. I would like to return the phone in the nearest ATT store, is it possible?
Can an someone help me?

There we go again..shipped my XsMax phone part of trade in and it hasn’t moved a bit.
status is still same as “usps is in possession of your item” and I shipped another package at the same time and is already in transit.
