NumberSync and iOS 9.2 Beta 2

I'm running iOS 9.2 beta 2 and was wondering if anyone else has activated NumberSync?

So far it looks like making calls from my iPad Air 2 as well as my MacBook Pro work fine.  Text message forwarding fails... to a degree.  SMS messages made on the iPad or MBP seem to go through to their destination, but then get a "The message failed to send" error.

My guess is maybe the devices are trying to literally send the SMS over WiFi directly to AT&T (instead of routing through iCloud to my iPhone).  The iPhone never shows those messages in history... the iPad and MBP do, though.

Either way, it's a great feature so far.  Curious how to report a bug like this to engineering...

The first device to use numbersync is going to be the samung gear s2....

@ejschenck

thanks for the info I was just going by the ATT press release on the gear s2.  I had no clue that ATT was testing numbersync on iOS beta...  Then again I refuse to use fruit flavored phones.

I love how you really didn't address or answer my issue at all, but still took your canned reply and "accepted" it as a "solution".

Really shows how AT&T wants to foster people talking about products...

Hello, again!

The Feedback Assistant app may be what you're looking for to report your findings. See the excerpt from the FAQ page below:

"How do I provide my feedback to Apple?
The OS X and iOS public betas come with the built-in Feedback Assistant app, which can be opened from the second page of the Home screen on your iOS device or from the Dock on your Mac. The Feedback Assistant app is also available from the help menu of any app by choosing 'Send Feedback’. If you experience an issue or something does not work as expected, send your feedback directly to Apple with Feedback Assistant."

For more information, you can visit the Apple Beta Software Program FAQ page.

I posted in this forum to see if other people are having the same issue.  I didn't post to have some guy tell me how much he hates Apple, and then have an AT&T employee give me links to things I already know.

I'm not on the public beta, I'm a developer.  I know how to report a problem.  Frankly, this is a problem with YOUR network becuase I have other developers in the office that use T-Mobile and this feature works fine.

So just STOP and let OTHER CUSTOMERS reply if they are having the same issue.  This is a COMMUNITY FORUM.  Get the idea Mariana?

I have exactly the same issue.  It is either an iOS 9.2 beta 2 bug or an OS X 10.11.1 bug or an iCloud bug or an AT&T misconfiguration but something is definitely wrong.  I hope it can be fixed on the backend.

@wp3gi did you try the beta of El Capitan? I think it's 10.11.2. And are you noticing that the messages actually DO go through?

It seems like instead of relaying through the iPhone it's literally connecting to the network on its own...
