Think I just won the shipping lottery!

So I ordered the 6 Plus (128, Gold) on November 26th and was quoted 20-25 days (12/29-1/7) for shipping and I was originally pretty okay with that. I get the email that says about the 12/12-12/19 shipping dates and thought it was pretty bogus. I went to AT&T today and demanded that my order be cancelled. Three AT&T representatives tried their best to cancel the order but to no success, they couldn't do it. I walk out of the store in frustration that they cannot even cancel my order, only to find a shipping notification from UPS that was just received within 5 minutes of leaving the store. It shipped the SECOND I left the store. Did anyone else have this kind of success within the 12/12-12/19 shipping window?
