Unlock approved. Missed confirm email. Now unlock is denied. "Phone is on an At&t wireless account"

At&t iPhone 5S was given to me. Filled out the form on att.com/deviceunlock. Was approved but then I missed the confirmation email. Tried to retry it then got a denial saying phone is on an at&t account. Was on my account a little while but not anymore. No longer on account. Need help. Any suggestions?

Hi @FrankChase,

Welcome to the Community Forums! I can understand the importance of getting your phone unlocked, and I would be more than happy to go over the process.

If the unlock was previously approved then the iPhone is unlocked.  You will need to connect the iPhone to iTunes via a computer, backup, erase all content and settings, and restore.  Once this is complete you will receive “Congratulations your phone is unlock”.

If you are unsure of the unlock approval you can check on the status by using the IMEI and request number and visiting this website. If it was denied, it will provide the reason. A denial due to being active on another account will stop the process until you sign in with the account it is attached to or the person removes it from their account.

I hope this information helps! Please have an amazing rest of your week.
