Unlock request denied

Hi, i recently bought an iphone 7 plus of ebay and i submitted a request to unlock it but it was denied. I have checked the imei number and its clean but as am not a att customer and i live in the UK am finding it hard to speak to someone who can tell me why it was denied. Any help would be great.

The email that told you that the unlock was denied didn’t have a reason?

Most unlocks are denied because the phone was not paid for. If the phone wasn’t paid off in full, AT&T does not have to unlock it. Go back to the original eBay  seller and complain to them.

AT&T won’t give you information on anyone else’s account, so there is to way for you to find out how much is owed.  You can’t pay it off, if that is indeed the problem.
