Why is my device still on back order?

Extremely upset with At&t at this point. I went into the store for an TABLET. I was given the option to get the Ipad 5th generation. I ordered in store on the 2nd of April. It is now the 15th of April. Still says IN PROGRESS. I have been calling once a day to find out whats going on. I've been hearing many different stories. I was told it will arrive today (15th). Still nothing. Then I was told it's in back order. Like seriously!!!! I pay $180 per month for lies. I have been a loyal customer with At&t. I'm really frustrated with the shopping experience now.

@chaniaw91: I apologize. Why don’t you order the 6th generation iPad? It supports the Apple Pencil, it’s best if order directly from Apple Online, they have both in stock, and signature required for delivery on iPads. I can see if need Next Program to pay off iPads, Apple have some payment program. Good luck.👍

@chaniaw91: April 15, today is Sunday, nobody delivers. Considering the 6th generation iPads just came out, AT&T are out of stock regarding 5th generations. Still yet, Apple have to send iPads to all carriers, unless cancel order 5th generation, and order the newer model from AT&T, or Apple?

@MR_SMiT That’s not totally true. I’ve had Amazon orders delivered on Sunday, by the USPS even.

That's because Amazon pays the USPS for that service in certain cities.

By USPS, it is Special Delivery, at least in my location. I see FedEx do deliveries, but mostly during Christmas holidays.😉

Thank you so much. That’s what I ended up doing.
