Will my iPhone 6s+ Connect to a 5G Hotspot?

Hello all,

     I cannot find the answer to this question anywhere. I am wondering not if my iPhone 6s+ can GENERATE a 5G hotspot, but if it can CONNECT to one? I want to get a mobile hotspot device (I'm thinking the moxee brand), and use an ATT data plan along with it, but the data plan specifies that it is 5G data. Will my iphone 6s+ be able to connect to my hotspot device if the hotspot device uses a 5G plan?
