Nokia cell booster

Cell booster needs to be plugged into router which is in an interior closet nowhere near a window. So GPS attachment cannot be near a window to pick up signal. How much will this negatively impact the booster. Will this prevent it working?

Yes. The Cell Booster needs to have the GPS antenna connected at all times and the antenna needs to be on our near a window with an unobstructed view of the sky. Read my Cell Booster Tech Guide. Link is the first one in my sig line.

Having a modem router installed in the closet is never an ideal location anyway.

Try using Wi-Fi calling instead. And possibly relocate your modem/gateway

You can buy an external GPS antenna and connect it to the booster. Just be aware of the type of connector it needs. It's in Otto's guide. I use the external GPS antenna on three of my boosters. My boosters are in a network closet in the basement at two sites, and one site is in an all metal barn. None of them anywhere near a window.
