The Cell Booster Technical Guide is now available

The Cell Booster Technical Guide is now available thru my sig line. AT&T reviewed and approved it pretty much as is. The formatting appears to have changed a bit during the transfer so there may be an inconsistency in the TOC (Table of Contents) but you'll figure it out 😁.

The Guide will look familiar to any of you who read the original MicroCell Technical Guide. Format is the same and a lot of the information will be familiar because basic femtocell technology etc hasn't changed that much. And, as with the MicroCell Guide, this will be a community effort so any tips, information, etc that can be confirmed/verified will be added to keep all things Cell Booster related in one place. AT&T does have some nice FAQs but they can be hard to find and do not have a lot of detail, and the FAQs are where Support gets most of their scripted information from. And speaking of Support, do be kind to them because they really do want to help, but are limited in what they are taught and what they have access to.

The main issues now are the unlit 4G/LTE light, calls dropping, and the link in the second email. With the 3G network being terminated in about a week, AT&T is having some major network issues and a certain degree of disconnect within. This can affect different service areas and is very similar to what happened when the MicroCell was first introduced so ya'll just have to be patient. It will be difficult for awhile but once 3G is finally put to rest, there should be more resources available to tackle these growing pains.

As far as updates go, I keep a list and when I get a workable number I'll update the Guide for review and posting. So the updates may not come as fast as you would like but I'm usually around to answer any questions that you have or pass them along to AT&T.

I apologize if there are any any typos, grammatical errors or something just doesn't make sense. Let me know and I will try to correct it. I've looked over the Guide so many times now that is seems perfect to me, but you know how that goes....
