AT&T Air Internet Service - Speed

I currently have AT&T Fixed Wireless service and am generally ok with it. I plan on moving to Youtube TV and would need unlimited data. I live in a rural area and my only choices are satellite, fixed internet or the Air service. I did some timings on my phone yesterday and can I expect similar down load speeds that I received on my phone with the ATT Air internet service?

The download speed offered through the Air service seems to max out around 140Mbps. So if you get more than that on your phone then don't expect it on the Air device. The setup process for it will demand at least a decent signal, so if you only have one or two bars in your house it may or may not work. You also have to keep in mind that wifi speeds aren't guaranteed off the Air device; even if it has full 5 bar strength and tops out 140m speed, doesn't mean you will get 140m speed over wifi to your TV or whatnot.

We're here to shed light on your Internet Air inquiry, @cityfarmer!

When it comes to what speeds to expect, that will all depend on what's available in your area for the service. We recommend reaching out to our phone support team at 800-288-2020 for any additional information needed on Internet Air. WE thank you for your understanding.

We tried the Internet Air and saw decent download speeds approaching 100Mbps but upload is less that 4Mbps and we can't use the service this way and there was nothing we could do to improve the upload speeds. We sent the unit back.
