At&t technician said this repair would be 'done within today or at worst tomorrow' a few days ago.

So I don't know whether to call At&t tech support again, or bother this technician on his cell phone, or just sit around doing nothing. My households internet went out on Friday, and the following morning of said Friday I called the tech support line. He verified it was a problem with our fiber optic cable, and said a technician was on his way within the next few hours. That was great, the technician shows up, and goes around back to our box (which junctions the two cables). He notices a potential break on one end and clips it, then adds newer line to the splice. This doesn't fix the problem, so he checks the cable and his reading leads him to believe work needs to be done in our alleyway where the cable leads. He says they'll need "a bucket truck" to do it, and that due to limited staff, it could be done today, or more likely tomorrow. The next day passed with no truck, no technician, nothing. Today is day 3, and my family is hounding me to figure out what's going on. So, now I want to know if I should bother this guy, because the number he initially called (our house number) can't connect because the phone is vonage and is ironically tied to the internet and I'm not sure if he remembers to call the cell phone number I gave him to call instead. I don't want to bother him if there's a good chance it'll still be fixed.

What should I do?
