AT&T Velocity ZTE Hotspot issue, trouble connecting to WiFi

Hello, I currently have the AT&T ZTE Velocity Hotspot device, and when connecting it directly to my desktop computer via USB, I am connected directly to the internet with no issues. However when I try to connect any devices (tested laptops & phones) to it via WiFi, I can see the WiFi network in the connection menu and select it, my devices show they are TRYING to connect, but ultimately it says "Unable to connect" after about 60 seconds of trying to connect to it.
The WiFi has no password, its totally open & I'm using default settings, I have not changed any settings on the Velocity Hotspot device.
So what is the problem? Why can I not connect to the WiFi? And yes the signal strength is full bars.
I've tried restarting the device & even fiddling with the device settings (I restored them to default after having no luck)
It seems hopeless. I've searched the internet over & over for how to fix this.
One thing I have noticed is VERY RARELY, right after I restart the device, I can connect to the WiFi, but after 30 minutes or so, it will disconnect & be unable to ever connect again.

Specifics of device -
Name: AT&T Velocity ZTE Hotspot
Model of Device: MF923
Hardware Version: xx4A
Software Version: MF923V2.6

@ATTCares
Sorry for the late reply, i was on a trip.
Anyways~
I can't even find my exact device on the troubleshooter, i tried Velocity, MF923, and various other numbers related to it.
ZTE gave some results, but after checking each picture of the devices listed, none of them looked like my device at all.
Since you know what device I'm specifically using because of my detailed post, can you tell me what to type into the troubleshooter so that it correctly finds my device?
