DIY BGW210 Struggles

I'm having issues with my BGW210 install and I'm wondering if it's my phone jack. My tech never came into the house as I believe the previous owners of the house had ATT, maybe he assumed we already had an ATT branded port. We don't.

I've hooked up to the only phone jack in the house and my broadband is still flashing red. MySmartHome has been bugged for me and wouldn't show my equipment has been delivered even though it's been 24 hrs since I've recieved my BGW210. Now it's showing this blank screen.

Don't know what else I can do but call for a tech visit?

If that second light is solid red color and not blinking, nothing you can do as theres simply no signal on the line, gotta call 800 288 200 ad they'll have someone come over and set it up. Hopefully even before the weekend.

Thanks, the light was blinking red before but now I checked since posting and its solid red. Tech came and went in 10 minutes never asked to come inside I knew something was up . Go figure the only help I've gotten ( the forums) is being bricked today of all days! Cheers.

While it is sad to see the forum get sunset, establishing service is something that needs to be dealt directly with Att anyway.
Also interesting to see they’re still issuing the 210 to new customers.   That device has celebrated its a seventh birthday.

There is likely a different jack your not finding, perhaps previous owner removed.

Self Install has no charge for tech to perform outside work including testing to the NID, required to close their ticket.

A full tech install with tech entering the home has a $99 installation charge which verifies service to the jack.

If have basement see if can follow the wiring from the NID, otherwise need to call to schedule an appointment for failed self installation.

EDIT the BGW 210 is the only gateway to support copper based service, the 320 does not have a green DSL port.

If new customer ordering internet 100 or less the only option is the 210.

I figured it might be something like that.   Thanks.

Yep BGW210 is for copper only noways. Not too long ago when there was a shortage of 320s in terms of failed fiber self installs techs were instructed to swap 320 for 210 if customer was on Internet 300 or 500. Now every single fiber customer is getting 320 and in case of failed CSI techs are replacing ONTs for fiber jacks.

As methought alluded to above scenario is for copper connection with outside tech not required to go in and there are likely multiple rj14 jacks while we are preferably looking ATT branded one to connect with. If that fails then second tech has to to come out and for new customers thats always free of charge.

There are a few blank covers where I'd imagine a phone line would go but no att branded ports and I don't have a basement. The port I connected to in the pic above shares a wall with my meter and the other ports mentioned are on the opposite side of the house. Thanks for the replies, only contact I've had thus far and all have been helpful.
