Had existing single pair service upgrading to bonded with outside line issue, the tech should have completed making the connection at the terminal drop wire, upgraded NID connections with additional protector, made connections in the home run wiring from NID to wall plate and possible upgraded the gateway depending on what model you had.

With all inside work completed, clean up and leave when outside tech work is completed the service will be interrupted for 10 to 15 minutes while performing tech release and software updates for new profile are sent to the gateway which should reboot to apply the update.

Call AT&T and let them know.

This is a public forum of other customers. We can give guidance for some troubleshooting you can do yourself, but for an incomplete install you have to discuss that with official support.

The work might not yet be completed… internet 50 is often a bonded pair install requiring two working lines, if an issue with a line the tech can try to resolve or create a helper ticket for an outside line tech to complete.

If the tech pre called your number to inform they are on the way, call them back.

If needing to refer to another work group the tech should have explained that to someone, we’re you the only one home during the appointment?

No me and my son but I watched the guy pack his stuff and walk off, so I thought that he was finished. But my wife got a message that they are working on the line off site. Thanks you for your response

Turns out there is a problem with the underground line near my home, the guy that came out worked well into the darkness to rig up a wire and give us service! Absolutely without a doubt my best experience with any AT&T issue
