Macbook/Sonic Pad IP not recognizing

Unable to recognize IP address when using a Macbook computer that is connected to a Creality Sonic Pad. We use Fluid UI with the SonicPad but are getting OctoPrint Errors: Could no connect to OctoPrint: curl:Couldn't connect to server: Failed to connect to 192.168.1.72 port 80. Connection refused [Error 7]. This was working prior to switching to ATT internet service yesterday. We have tried the following: flushing the DNS/IP config, , factory resetting both router and sonic pad, opening ports (unsure if I am doing correctly), everything we have found on google. My internet IP is working fine it is just not recognizing our Creality sonic pad.

Hi ashleigh1331! We see that you're facing connectivity issues with your Macbook/Sonic Pad, we hear you, and we're happy to assist you.

Let’s troubleshoot this step by step:

Check Network Configuration
:

    • Verify that your MacBook is connected to the same local network as the Sonic Pad.
    • Ensure that both devices are using the same IP address range.

Ping the Sonic Pad:

    • Open the Terminal on your MacBook.
    • Type the following command and press Enter: ping 192.168.1.72
    • If you receive responses, it means your MacBook can communicate with the Sonic Pad.

Check Firewall Settings:

    • Confirm that your MacBook’s firewall isn’t blocking communication with the Sonic Pad.
    • Temporarily disable the firewall and try connecting again.

OctoPrint Configuration:

    • Make sure OctoPrint is correctly configured to use the Sonic Pad’s IP address (192.168.1.72) and port 80.
    • Check OctoPrint’s settings for any discrepancies.

Router Settings:

    • Log in to your router’s web interface (usually via a browser).
    • Look for port forwarding settings and ensure that port 80 is forwarded to the Sonic Pad’s IP address (192.168.1.72).
    • Restart the router after making changes.

DNS and DHCP:

    • Flush the DNS cache on your MacBook
    • Ensure that your MacBook is using DHCP.

Restart Devices:

    • Power cycle both your MacBook and the Sonic Pad.
    • Sometimes a simple restart can resolve connectivity issues.

Check Ethernet Cable:

    • If you’re using an Ethernet cable to connect your MacBook, ensure its securely plugged in.

Let us know if this helps!
