Rural Internet Fiber Installation

Good morning,

I live in a newer rural subdivision in the Black Creek, Wisconsin area.  Our only options for internet are fixed wireless (slow speed) or cellular (fast but expensive).

We have a rural subdivision with 14 houses, off of a county road.  About 3 weeks ago, i noticed ATT was installing fiber lines along the county road.  Turns out the co-op up the road is paying to have a fiber line run specifically to their business so they can have reliable internet.  It would make sense from a business perspective to also run the fiber line into our subdivision as there are 14 houses that are extremely internet starved.  I talked to the subcontractors installing the lines and they didn't know who to contact to inquire about this.

Wondering who at ATT I can contact to find out if they plan on entering our subdivision as well.  I can guarantee that most houses would immediately sign up for service if this happened.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Steve

Hi @Clutchguy,

I am sorry you are having issues with slow internet. I am pleased to check into this for you!

I completely understand the need for super-fast AT&T Internet in your location. I am going to suggest checking this link, and you will be able to see right away when our fastest internet is available in your location.

Have a great rest of your day!

I also live in a newer rural subdivision in Lincolnton, NC.  Our only options for internet are satellite wireless (slow speed, data caps and throttling) or cellular (fast but expensive) or DSL (slow speed 1.5 mbps).  Sometimes I have had a combination of all three.

We have a rural street with 30 houses, off of a county road.  Recently, I noticed ATT was installing fiber lines along the county road. I was told that there were 112 fibers in that cable feeding homes along the path.  It would make sense from a business perspective to also run the fiber line down our street as there are 30 houses that are extremely internet starved.  I talked to the subcontractors installing the lines and they didn't know who to contact to inquire about this.

Wondering who at ATT I can contact to find out if they plan on entering serving our street with fiber internet.  I can guarantee that most houses would immediately sign up for service if this happened.
