Utility Easement Encroachment Approval

As a general rule you place nothing in a utility easement that you do not mind having destroyed.

Might want to relocate the pool or reduce the dimensions to stay clear of the easement.

In my thinking you’re asking for a variance on a legal document therefore you need ATT bank of lawyers to consider your request. Rank and file employees are not going to be able to provide that. 

Just my thoughts…

I been calling AT&T to different departments and no one is been able to answer my question so brought this to the public forum to first get an answer or guidance to whom I need to reach that could help and also to help others in this community with the same type of issue or question. I see other posts of people in this forum with the same issue and the @ATTHelp  reach out to them through direct message and help them. To the other person saying to relocate the pool, that’s not that easy. Backyard is 24 feet wide and an old easement from 1978 takes 12 feet of the 24 for utilities which the only utility using it at the moment is FPL and I was able to get an approval from them to cross over the easement 5 feet in. Nothing else passes by and if I don’t cross the easement I’m just able to build a 7 feet wide pool which is ridiculous. You don’t need a legal document for this as I already got 4 out of the 5 utility companies to allow this . You just need the engineer or department assigned to that zone to review their footprints and validate that nothing is using the easement.

@ATTHelp  unfortunate on the Contact Us page there is no options for this type of questions. Also, when calling customer service no one have knowledge of the request neither they are able to direct you to someone with knowledge on this matter. FPL and other utility companies have an engineering department assigned to specific zones that are able to provide you with this type of letter. 

It would be nice to post some kind of phone number or email to follow up on this matter. We can take this private if you guys like but as of know this forum was my only resource left.

Florida termination of easement

Hi @spoom2 ,

the form there is to terminate an easement. All I need is @ATTHelp  to sign an easement encroachment letter agreeing on me overlapping the Utility easement in my backyard as nothing is using it at the moment. All utilities already signed the form except AT&T that I cant find who is responsible for that. Many people in this forum ask for the same and no one is able to help, I would imagine that an engineering department for AT&T have all the footprints for underground wires and can decide weather or not I can overlap the easement.
