Internet In Rural Area ** Help **
Good Evening,
A little backstory to this issue-- I live with my grandfather, take care of him, all while attending college and working full-time. I access the internet a lot, because who doesn't now-a-days? My grandfather loves the firestick, and watching older movies online when he wants to, and I use online video access to study for college. For the last roughly 3-4 years, I have struggled in finding service that will work for us, and I was told that using an AT&T Hotspot would be supported even after the 10G was used, that it would be slowed down.
That however- is not the case. Today, I got several notifications that I was charged $15 for every 1G that went over. I was not home when this happened, and my grandfather was using Netflix etc. to watch his movies. I was under the impression that it would be slowed down, and not charged except for the flat fee.
What can I do about this? I am struggling to afford even the most basic internet, and I am constantly put on restrictions no matter what service I run into. I really would like to stay with AT&T, and they have amazing service in my area. I just hate that I have to go through the middle man to get any help, or any type of decent internet to do anything. I feel like if a line can not be ran to my house, I should at least have access to some type of plan. Other neighbors are connected to internet via Spectrum, except only us. No one will help, and I have tried everything I can.
If any AT&T rep is reading this, can you please reach out to me and see if you can help me in this situation in any way? I just want to be able to use the internet as everyone else does, and not be charged unruly for using this service.

Thanks!
We tried going to the AT&T local store, but they only knew service about cellphones and basic hotspot plans it seems like.
I want to set up something that's strictly with AT&T, and not going through a third party anymore to get what I want.
