Not able to Sign up for the Max subscription included with my internet
Yesterday, we received a prompt to renew our subscription with Max or to sign in with a provider. For 2 hours I was in a continuous loop between help support with Max and AT&T with no resolution. I'm trying to be able to use the subscription with my internet plan. I understand that things got wonky with the HBOMax to Max switchover but that was a while ago and up until yesterday we were able to access our Max subscription. I have gone onto the Help forum and see that I am not the only one with this issue and AT&T help was able to assist quite a few of their clients to get them the service they are paying for. Please help!

@jmedmison1134 You can try this:
Contact Max Support at 855-442-6629, or go to Max.com, sign in with your AT&T login on a laptop, phone or tablet first, and then create a Max username and password. You can then use that username and password to sign in on your television or other devices by “sign in” instead of signing in with the provider. That has worked for some but not all.
It is up to Max now (owned by WBD) if they want to keep honoring the legacy AT&T "free HBO Max for life" offer. If you haven't made any changes to the account that you originally had when you activated Max then it could just be a glitch in Max's system. You can try to call AT&T Support and see if there is something they can do on their end to resync your account but it really is up to Max now as to who gets the free, HD-only tier. For the 4k HDR tier, you will have to subscribe directly to Max for that.
